Wander Woman Mountain Weekend June 24

Come and join our group of wander-ful women at the beautiful Lake District National Park!

We’ll be camping in the stunning Langdale Valley at the foot of the Langdale Pikes, and hiking in the mountains and valleys, aiming for a summit or two (weather permitting). There will be opportunities to learn and improve navigation skills (although it won’t be the key focus of the hikes), and adventurous conversations around the campfire, including a Q&A session where we can support your plans for future adventures. We aim for you to leave the weekend feeling enthused and inspired, supported by and connected with other like-minded women, with increased confidence and competence in the mountain environment.

The rugged, mountainous beauty of the Lake District provides the perfect backdrop to adventures. If you’re looking to take the next step in your adventure journey, come and join Now on Earth and Heads Up Adventures for a wild weekend!

Our mountain day on Saturday will be reasonably challenging, we’ll be ascending and descending a mountain route, covering between 7-10km over 6-7 hours, but with plenty of food and rest breaks. Expect rugged mountain terrain, steep at times, and many beautiful views! A good base level of fitness will be required.

No previous navigating or mountain experience is necessary, Cathy will be here to guide you and support your journey.

Suitable weatherproof attire is essential for the mountains, as weather can be unpredictable. Please check the kit list! High mountain routes are subject to weather conditions. If nature dictates we’ll re-route to lower routes for the day. We recommend walking poles to reduce knee stress.
